Alvin Hilaire, Resident Representative of Guinea and Sierra Leone, is a national of Trinidad and Tobago and holds a Ph.d in Economics from Columbia University. At the International Monetary Fund he has worked in the Policy Development and Review as well as Western Hemisphere Departments on several countries, including Croatia, Cameroon, Colombia, Nicaragua and Thailand. Prior to joining the Fund, he headed the Policy Support Unit of the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.

Mamadou Diouldé Barry, Economist, was recruited in 2002 and holds a Certificate in Scientific Studies in Mathematics and Physics from Mohammed V University of Rabat, Morocco and a Diploma in Economic Statistical Engineering from the National Superior School of Applied Statistics and Economics of Abidjan, Ivory Coast. He has participated in several training programs organized by the IMF in Dakar, Washington and Tunis and also did an internship at the Research Department of the Central Bank of Guinea.

Marie Fabert Leroy, Administrative Assistant, holds a B.T.S. (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur) from the Institute of Accounting and Secretariat of Rabat, Morocco. Since joining the IMF Office in 1997, she has worked with four successive Resident Representatives. Mme. Leroy was previously Secretary in the Governor’s Office at the Central Bank of Guinea from 1994 to 1997.

Ousmane Souaré, Chauffeur, is currently the longest serving member of the team, having joined the Resident Representative office in September 1988. Over his19 years of service, he has worked with six different Resident Representatives. Prior to joining the office, he worked at the Ministry of Youth and at the Guinean Cement Company.
