It is correct to say that economic difficulties in one part of a country tend to negatively affect other parts of a country. BiH shares the same economic space and the same monetary and exchange arrangement—the currency board. This is why the IMF has been at the forefront in calling for the establishment of the Fiscal Council to coordinate fiscal policy across BiH. This is the statement that the IMF Mission Chief for BiH Costas Christou gave to “Glas Srpske”.
