News — Highlights
An IMF mission, led by Mr. Jürgen Odenius, visited Pristina from May 19 to May 27, 2010, and reached agreement, subject to financing assurances from donors and approval by IMF Management and the Executive Board, on an economic program to be supported by a 18-month, SDR 92.7 million (about €106 million) Stand-By Arrangement.
The Republic of Kosovo became the 186th member of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) today when President Fatmir Sejdiu and Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi signed the IMF’s original Articles of Agreement at a ceremony in Washington D.C.

The October 2013 CESEE Regional Economic Issues (REI) assesses the macroeconomic outlook for the region in light of the latest global economic and financial developments. The REI also focuses on prospects for longer-term potential growth, and the policies and reforms that will be needed to boost growth and bring down on a sustained basis the relatively high rates of unemployment across much of the region.
