Mr. Erik C. Offerdal Mr. Erik C. Offerdal took position as the IMF's Resident Representative in the Dominican Republic in February 2006. He was IMF Resident Representative in Guatemala from 2003 until coming to the Dominican Republic. At the IMF headquarters, Mr. Offerdal worked on a series of country assignments, including Ecuador, Costa Rica, Peru, Ukraine, Romania, and Namibia, and led IMF missions to Belize and El Salvador. Mr. Offerdal was the IMF Resident Representative in Vietnam 1997-1999. Prior to joining the IMF in 1990, he was a Senior Research Fellow with Statistics Norway, Oslo, and a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts. His research interests include fiscal sustainability, exchange rate policy, tax policy, and general equilibrium modeling (publication list). | |
