The Resident Representative
Arnim Schwidrowski is a Senior Resident Representative of the IMF in Ethiopia. Mr. Schwidrowski also liaises between the Fund and the AU and ECA. He has worked on various African countries since 1997 and was the IMF's resident representative in Mozambique between 1999-2003. Before coming to Ethiopia, he was the mission chief for Liberia, Mauritius, and Equatorial Guinea. Before joining the IMF in 1993, he worked as an economist in the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Administrative Assistant to the Resident Representative
Felege Asgedom has been serving as Administrative Assistant to the Resident Representative since 1996. Working for many years in a similar job for Unitarian Service Committee of Canada (USC/Canada), and for the Ethiopian Biodiversity Institute provided her a good deal of practical work experience on the field of office management and administrative matters. Felege obtained a diploma in secretarial science from Commercial Collage of Addis Ababa in 1982.

Local Economist
Muche Netsere works as a local economist in the Resident Representative's Office. He worked as a Research Officer, Senior Research Officer, and Acting-Head of the Domestic Economic Conditions Follow-up Division of the Research Department at the Central Bank for several years. He also served at the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia as Head of the Statistical Services in the Research and Planning Department for more than a year. He acquired a BSc degree in Statistics from Addis Ababa University, and MA in Development Economics from Williams College, Massachusetts, USA.

Students
The work at the Resident Representative's Office is also supplemented by two final year graduate students from Addis Ababa University (Seid Mohammed and Sherefedin Kedir). Occasionally the team is also supported by summer-interns from internationally known universities, like Harvard.

Office Assistant
Tigist Teshome joined the Resident Representative's Office since 1995. She keeps every member of the team comfortable in the office - providing office supplies, coffee and tea, and keeping our office clean.

Driver
Hailu Tolla is the first recruit by the office when it was first opened in June 1993. He takes care of everything that needs delivery or driving.

IT Consultant
Zahra Dagnew, who earned a BA degree in Economic from Addis Ababa University, and MSc in Information Science from School of Information Studies in Africa, Addis Ababa University serves as an IT consultant since 2001.
