Tobias Roy

Mr. Roy has been Resident Representative since December 1st, 2007. He joined the IMF in 2001 and worked as country economist for Cabo Verde, Suriname, and Belize. Since 2005 he has been visiting Paraguay as part of the IMF’s country team at the Washington DC Headquarters. Before joining the IMF, Mr. Roy taught macroeconomics as Assistant Professor at Free University of Berlin, Germany.

Santiago Peña

Mr. Peña, an economist from the Central Bank of Paraguay, has been working for the IMF Office in Paraguay since May 2005. In addition to following the country's economic and political developments, he prepares macroeconomic reports and analyses and provides statistical information to the Resident Representative and the IMF mission.

Rossana Secada de Amat y Leon

Mrs. Secada de Amat y Leon, Senior Administrative Assistant, has worked for the IMF Office in Paraguay since May 2005. She takes care of administrative and office duties as well as mission arrangements. Before joining the IMF, she worked eight years for IBM as Senior Assistant to the Country General Manager, Payroll Officer and Events Coordinator.

Guillermo Baez

Mr. Baez provides administrative support and driving services for the office of the Resident Representative since December 2005. Before joining the office, he performed similar responsibilities for IBM in Paraguay.

Maria Cielo Boza Baecker

Ms. Boza, Assistant, is seconded by the Central Bank of Paraguay. She has been with the IMF Office since July 2007. She holds a degree in Business Administration and a post-graduate study in Finance from Mexico. Before joining the IMF Office, she worked five years for Citibank in Paraguay.

José Agustin Benítez Fleitas

Mr. Benítez, driver and responsible for security, is seconded by the Central Bank of Paraguay since April 2004. Before joining the IMF office in Paraguay, he performed similar responsibilities for the General Manager of the Central Bank.
