patrick Quarterly Real GDP for UK
I have been referred to National statistics online for the above subject. Unfortunately, i did not really get what i wanted. What they have is real GDP growth from 2003 to 2008 and in a graph form. I could not have access to the data. Having the data from 1950 or 1980 to 2007 (quarterly) will be very useful for me.
I hope you will be able to help me out.
Regards,
Patrick

Patrick,

The data you are looking for are available from the Office of National Statistics website of the U.K.

1. From the homepage, click on GDP on the left-hand side under "Key Statistics".
2. Then click on Quarterly National Accounts on the right-hand side under "Related Links".
3. At the bottom of the page, click on Time Series Data - UK Economic Accounts.
4. From this page, you should be able to download the data you need.

The data in quarterly frequency go from 1955Q1 to 2008Q1.

I have found the same problem. The NOS only provides information on GDP growth. Any idea where to find the value itself?
Thanks

The series you are looking for is called "ukea: A1: ABMI: Gross Domestic Product: chained volume measures: Seasonally adjusted." This should give you the UK real GDP in levels, quarterly frequency. If you are still unable to find the series, I suggest you contact ONS. They may be able to send you their data directly.

Good luck,
Angela
