Mr. Wang is an economist currently at the European Department of the IMF. Since joining the Fund, he has worked on economic policy and IMF surveillance/program issues covering a variety of advanced and emerging market economies, namely Euro area, Australia, China, Pacific islands, and East Africa. His research work has been focusing on international and development economics, including exchange rate, capital flows, and macro-financial linkages. His publications appear on several refereed journals such as Journal of Development Economics and Review of International Economics, as well as IMF Staff Discussion Notes and Working Paper series. Before joining the Fund in 2009 he was a faculty member of Fudan University, China. Mr. Wang holds a PhD in economics from McGill University.
