Content and structure

Scope and content: Series consists of letters and memoranda exchanged by the Division's staff, External Relations Department (EXR) management, other IMF staff, authors, and readers of Staff News, IMF Memorandum and IMF Survey. Correspondence concerns: articles in the publications; production issues, such as rights and permissions to publish or republish; requests for publications (as opposed to the ongoing distribution of published documents as managed by the Publications Unit); general administrative matters, such as staffing, scheduling, and budgeting; and, conferences attended by division staff. The records are generally created by Division Chiefs except records in one file for an editorial officer who attended conferences and board meetings on behalf of the Department. Files are arranged according to an original classification scheme, which was roughly in chronological order.

Conditions governing access and reproduction: Series is open according to the Policy on Access to the Fund's Archives. Files will be screened by reference staff for any time restrictions.
