Content and structure
Scope and content: This series contains materials pertaining to countries/members of the IMF and IMF issues. Files contain correspondence, internal memoranda, reports on membership obligations, information on countries, typescript notes, draft board documents, newsclippings, and other reports submitted to Managing Director Pierre-Paul Schweitzer. Correspondence is often with country officials and discusses the financial situation of the country and consultation documents. Internal memoranda include Executive Board Documents on transactions, comments and notes for discussions. Topics include membership and quota increases, declarations on the reform of the IMF, the role of incomes policy, meetings with ministers and country delegations, and debt rescheduling.
