Rabah Arezki

Rabah Arezki is a Senior Economist at the IMF Research Department. During his career at the Fund, he worked in the IMF Institute and the African, Fiscal Affairs, Middle East and Central Asia Departments. He has written on natural resources, economic development, institutions, education and macro-finance. He has published widely in academic and other journals, including the Economic Journal, the Journal of International Economics, the Journal of Development Economics, the European Economic Review, and the American Journal of Agricultural Economics. He has also been cited in leading newspapers, including The Economist, Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal. He has co-edited two books entitled Beyond the Curse: Policies to Harness the Power of Natural Resources and Commodity Price Volatility and Inclusive Growth in Low-Income Countries both published by the International Monetary Fund. He is currently co-editing a special issue of the Journal of International Money and Finance entitled Understanding International Commodity Price Fluctuations.
