Scott Roger
Last Updated: March 11, 2013Scott Roger is Project Coordinator at the Pacific Financial Technical Assistance Centre (see PFTAC.org) in Suva, Fiji. Previously Mr. Roger worked as a Senior Economist in the European Offices of the IMF in Paris (2010-2012); the Monetary and Capital Markets Department (2003-2010); and the Asia and Pacific Department (1998-2003). Prior to joining the IMF, Mr. Roger worked at the Resreve Bank of New Zealand (1993-98), Bank for International Settlements (1991-93) and Bank of Canada (1980-91). Scott Roger's research interests have included international reserves management, core inflation measurement, inflation targeting frameworks, policy formulation and policy communications, adaptation of inflation targeting to emerging and developing economies, currency baskets and, more recently, macrofinancial issues. Mr. Roger is a Canadian and New Zealand citizen, is married, has 4 children, and enjoys skiing and scuba diving.
