So here we are in a market in Tenochtitlan, the ancient Aztec capital in Mexico. It's a maze of vendors. People are buying and selling all sorts of things. But they aren't bartering goods. They seem to be using big sacks of cacao beans the raw ingredient of chocolate as money.
