The IEO develops its work program on the basis of internal discussions and broad based consultations of its draft work program. For each study, the IEO will prepare an issues paper, and/or more detailed draft terms of reference. These documents will be posted on the IEO's website to provide interested parties with an opportunity to comment. These comments will be taken into account by the IEO in determining the final terms of reference, which will be also posted on the IEO's website. In addition, the IEO invites anyone who has done substantive work on issues closely related to topics appearing in the IEO's work program, and who would like to draw the IEO's attention to this work, to send copies of this work to the IEO at ieo@imf.org. The work program consists of three projects: An evaluation of PRSPs and the PRGF, an evaluation of the IMF's role in Argentina, and an evaluation of IMF technical assistance. For each study, the IEO will prepare an issues paper, and/or more detailed draft terms of reference. These documents will be posted on the IEO's website to provide interested parties with an opportunity to comment. These comments will be taken into account by IEO in determining the final terms of reference, which will be also posted on the IEO's website. IEO's 2002-2005 Work Program, December 5, 2001 The Independent Evaluation Office has developed its work program based on suggestions received during an extensive consultation process and on IEO's internal assessment. The work program for the first year indicates three topics on which work has been initiated. The work program for subsequent years indicates some flexibility in the choice of topics. The program will be reviewed each year as part of a rolling three-year plan and projects not picked up in one year could be taken up in later years. Entirely new projects may also need to be introduced to reflect new issues and priorities that may arise. Defining the 2002-2005 Work Program, October 19, 2001 |
