Officials whose main responsibility is compiling direct investment statistics. The course is not aimed at officials engaged in the analysis of direct investment developments.

Participants should have a degree in economics or equivalent.

This three-day seminar is conducted by the Statistics Department on the Coordinated Direct Investment Survey (CDIS). The seminar is be a follow-up to the one conducted in 2008, which discussed the CDIS Guide and explored how compilers should start preparing to undertake the survey. The seminar in 2009 will review participants' progress in preparing to launch the survey at the end of 2009, share experiences with other participants, and discuss difficulties that may have arisen.
