IMF Approves Augmentation and Extension of Bosnia and Herzegovina's Stand-By Credit and Completes Second and Third Reviews
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) today approved an augmentation equivalent to SDR 16.9 million (about US$22.7 million) and an extension to March 31, 2001 of Bosnia and Herzegovina's stand-by credit that was approved May 29, 1998. This augmentation increases the total amount of access under this credit to an equivalent of SDR 94.42 million (about US$126.7 million). Today's decision was made in conjunction with the completion of the second and third reviews of Bosnia-Herzegovina's program under the stand-by credit, and makes an amount equivalent to SDR 11 million (about US$14.8 million) available immediately.
