Statement by IMF Managing Director on the Death of Dr. Alya Sousa

Horst Köhler, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), made the following statement on learning of the death of Dr. Alya Sousa

"I have learned today with great sadness of the death of Dr. Alya Sousa, of the World Bank's Baghdad office, who perished in this week's explosion at UN headquarters in Baghdad. I wish to extend on behalf of my colleagues at the Fund our deepest sympathy to Dr. Sousa's family."
