IMF Managing Director Horst Köhler to Visit Japan and Korea
The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Horst Köhler, is traveling to Japan and Korea in late February to meet with the leaders and senior government officials of these countries. He will speak at a conference in Seoul organized by the government on "A New Vision and Strategy under Changing Leadership in Northeast Asia." He will also have an opportunity to exchange views with private sector representatives.
During his visit to Tokyo (February 24-25) and Seoul (February 26-27), Mr. Köhler will exchange perspectives on critical issues facing the global economy; discuss Japan's and Korea's economic prospects, and reinforce the IMF's continued engagement with Asia.
