Statement of an IMF Mission to Fiji

The following statement was issued today by an International Monetary Fund (IMF) staff mission led by mission chief Ray Brooks:

“An IMF team is in Fiji to conduct the Article IV consultation discussions. All IMF member countries undergo regular surveillance of their macroeconomic situation under the Article IV Consultation process and these discussions are part of Fiji’s obligation as a member of the IMF. While in Fiji, the IMF team will review macroeconomic developments and the outlook and discuss related government policies. A press statement will be issued at the end of the visit.”
