Statement of the IMF and the EC at the End of a Staff Visit to Romania

Teams from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Commission (EC) visited Bucharest during November 6–14 for technical discussions on the macroeconomic outlook and progress made towards achieving the 2012 fiscal targets and implementing structural reforms, as well as discussions on the broad outline of the 2013 budget.

The teams will visit Bucharest to hold discussions on the next program review after a new government is in place following the parliamentary elections.
