Last Updated: July 2009 The CPIS metadata present descriptions of methodologies, compilation practices, and data sources used by individual economies (see Individual Economy Information) in conducting the CPIS. The metadata identify any deviations from the methodology set out in the Coordinated Portfolio Investment Survey Guide, second edition and also provide information on revision policy and data accessibility. Most economies participating in the CPIS have provided metadata for 2003, but in a small number of cases the metadata relate to 2001. The metadata are also presented in a tabular form comparing reporting practices across economies (see Cross-Economy Comparison Tables).
