We would like to highlight the fact that Mr. Jean-Philippe Vincent, whose article "violence of the euro, violence of money" appeared in your paper on 17 December, 2007, is not a member of staff of the International Monetary Fund, and has no professional ties with the IMF, having concluded a fixed-term contract with the institution in 1995. In this regard, we wish to emphasize that the opinions of Mr. Vincent do not represent the views of the IMF in any way, nor have they ever been expressed by the IMF.
