The main objectives of IMF research are to improve the analytical quality of the Fund's work, and thereby, the advice provided to member countries, as well as to contribute to research in areas that are relevant to the IMF's purposes as defined in the Articles of Agreement.


Financial Market Updates -- Produced twice a year and timed to fall between the semi-annual publication of the Global Financial Stability Report.

Global Financial Stability Report -- A semiannual report that provides assessments of global financial markets and addresses emerging market financing in a global context.

IMF Research Bulletin This quarterly bulletin selectively summarizes key components of research done at the IMF and provides a listing of research documents and other research-related activities, including IMF conferences and seminars.

IMF Staff Papers This journal of the IMF contains theoretical and empirical analyses of various issues.
