### Regional distribution and principal workstreams
- Regional distribution:
  - Africa continues to be the largest beneficiary region, accounting for more than half of the activities.
  - Other significant regions: Asia Pacific; Middle East and Central Asia.
- Workstream focus and strengths:
  - Fiscal and debt reporting: particularly strong CD delivery due to diagnostic workshops and ongoing demand tied to pandemic and Russia's war in Ukraine policy responses.
  - Real and external sector statistics: robust delivery aimed at enhancing data quality for economic policymaking.
  - National accounts and prices work continued in West African Economic and Monetary Union countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte D'Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Togo).
  - High-frequency indicators: accelerated support especially in Africa.
  - Residential property price index (RPPI): most missions were follow-up missions to achieve tangible outcomes before phase end.

### External Sector Statistics (ESS) outcomes (CEMAC and non-CEMAC)
- Resident Advisor on External Sector Statistics (Nov 2023–Oct 2024) conducted diagnostic TA missions across all Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) countries and non-CEMAC countries (Burundi, Sao Tome and Principe, Democratic Republic of Congo).
- Identified ESS compilation needs: data periodicity, timeliness, coverage, and reliability.
- Results and dissemination:
  - Annual Balance of Payments (BOP) statistics for 2022 were published on the BEAC-HQ website for all member countries.
  - Equatorial Guinea updated BOP statistics through 2023 in November 2024.
  - Updates for Chad, Gabon, Republic of Congo, and Central African Republic expected by the end of 2024.
  - For non-CEMAC countries, BOP compilation improved with quarterly data now disseminated in a timely manner.
  - All CEMAC countries are set to publish International Investment Position (IIP) data up to 2023 by the end of 2025.
- Enhanced collaboration: IMF country teams and AFRITAC Central experts are addressing weaknesses and improving consistency between ESS, national accounts, and external debt statistics; BEAC-HQ engagement in TA missions has increased.
