### Purpose and scope
- Prepared by the Statistics Department, INTERNATIONAL MONETARY FUND, Government Finance Division Global Consultation.
- Closing Date: March 28, 2025.
- Purpose: solicit views on proposed recommendation documents to update the Government Finance Statistics Manual 2014 (GFSM 2014) to incorporate changes agreed for implementation in the 2025 SNA and BPM7 (Batch A).
- Context: 36 research topics from the recent revisions to the System of National Accounts (SNA) and the Balance of Payments Manual (BPM) have been identified that need incorporation into the updated GFSM without further research.

### Consultation materials and process
- Eleven proposed recommendation documents (standardized and concise) are released for comment as the first batch; more batches will follow.
- Respondents are encouraged to provide a single coordinated/consolidated response for their organization/institution.
- Responses are requested by Friday, March 28, 2025.

    - Response options: Yes / No / Partially / No comment
  - A free-text box for detailed explanation (e.g., "Please provide more detail regarding your response.")

### Editorial and publication approach
- Responses to global consultations will be published in a summarized and anonymized format to maximize transparency.
- The IMF may quote parts of individual responses if consented to by the respondent.
