Luc Everaert is Assistant Director in the IMF’s Asia and Pacific Department, and is Mission Chief for Japan. Previously, he worked in the IMF's Monetary and Capital Markets Department on sovereign debt restructuring, capital market surveillance and financial stability assessments. Before that, he worked in the IMF's European Department where he headed the Regional Studies Unit and the euro area team. His research interests and published works focus on macro-financial issues, crisis management and resolution, systemic risk and monetary policy and structural reforms.
