Luigi Ruggerone is Senior Financial Expert in the Global Markets Analysis Division of the IMF’s Monetary and Capital Markets Department. He contributes to the Global Markets Monitor, covering Latin America, and to the Global Financial Stability Report on issues related to banking, financial stability, and the euro area. Before joining the Fund in September 2013, he worked in the private sector as head of foreign subsidiaries’ risk management for a large multinational bank based in Italy. He holds an undergraduate degree from Universita’ Cattolica di Milano and an MSc. And an Mphil. In Economics from the University of Warwick.
