Mali has made progress in reducing macroeconomic imbalances under the Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility (PRGF) Arrangement.
The economy showed improvements in competitiveness and a reduction in economic distortions under the PRGF-supported program.
The Executive Directors commended the progress and noted the authorities' commitment to the program.
The Malian economy suffered from trade losses and difficulties in the cotton and electricity sectors, which staff and Directors highlighted as significant challenges.
The request for waivers of performance criteria was supported by Executive Directors.

Maintain fiscal policies consistent with the PRGF-supported program.
Maintain monetary policies consistent with the PRGF-supported program.
Accelerate structural reforms to consolidate macroeconomic gains and address sectoral weaknesses.
Take necessary actions to address specific difficulties in the cotton and electricity sectors and to mitigate terms of trade losses.
