### Overview
- The Information Technology Department (ITD) delivers world class IT solutions and services, leads day-to-day technology operations, and provides ongoing support to ensure the satisfaction of the Fund’s business partners.
- ITD builds and runs IT solutions, platforms, and infrastructure in an agile and secure manner and is closely aligned to industry best practices.
- As ITD scales up work in service to Fund staff and membership, it is seeking experienced professionals to join the Tech Talent Pool to meet current and emerging needs.

- Application Services
  - Manages operation, maintenance, versioning, development, and upgrading of IMF applications through the lifecycle.
  - Evaluates market best practices, techniques and procedures for optimal performance and efficiency.
  - Functions: business analysis (BA), application design, secure code development and integration, delivery, maintenance and support.

- IT Project Management
  - Provides project management leadership for both technical and business process workstreams.
  - Adheres to PMI best practices: business case, CBA, project charter, scope, PMP, integrated project plan and other project management documents.

- Information Security
  - Establishes Fund‑wide information security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines; responsible for interpretation, governance and oversight.
  - Prioritizes Fund security investments and executes Fund‑wide information security training and awareness.
  - Manages data protection, access control, intrusion detection, virus protection, certification, audit, incident response, security engineering, and implementation of security policies and procedures.

- IT Management & Governance
  - Supports, oversees, and executes core IT operational processes including technology asset/resource management, business systems planning, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, chargeback and showback processes, service catalogue management, contracts management, risk management, vendor and partner ecosystem management, audit, compliance, systems development lifecycle, business analysis.

- Scientific Computing & Computational Economics
  - Uses advanced computing capabilities to solve complex problems in economics and finance.
  - Leverages computational methods, algorithms, statistics, machine learning, advanced analytics, and distributed and parallel computing architectures to provide efficient, secure computational solutions and analyze enterprise datasets.

- IT Strategy & Architecture
  - Ensures alignment and standardization of business value chains with IT capabilities, researches and evaluates emerging technologies, strategic technology planning, consulting, software validation.
  - Defines governance and policy on all aspects of Information (records management and archival) activities of the Fund.

- IT Infrastructure
  - Design, development, and support of technology infrastructure (including networks), hardware, software and office systems, systems performance management and technology integration.
  - Oversees facilities and service components that support development, testing, monitoring, control, and delivery of secure compliant infrastructure.

### Selection process and candidate requirements
- Selection Process:
  - Initial screening based on application form and supporting documentation.
  - Successful candidates will receive an invitation to participate in a video interview.
- Minimum qualifications:
  - An advanced university degree plus a minimum of four years of relevant professional experience; or
  - A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or IT related field, plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Desired skills and attributes:
  - Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, planning and organizational skills.
  - Relevant professional experience in a similar capacity in a comparable international organization is desirable.
  - Track record of working well in a collegial team environment and strong ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels and of different cultural backgrounds and with other international organizations and stakeholders.

- Content division
  - Delivers IT solutions for content and knowledge management, communications and outreach, member and partner engagement, and supports capital projects.
  - Focus on modernizing content solutions to underpin knowledge creation and surveillance work.
- Data and Economic Division
  - Empowers Fund users with AI, ML, data, and economic modeling tools by leveraging best practices in the data lifecycle engineering.
  - Focuses on continuous innovation to deliver high‑quality, reliable and actionable insights.
- Digital Advisory Unit (Digital Experts)
  - Supports digitalization of member countries; expertise in digital money, AI, blockchain, and data analytics.
  - Includes deep understanding of digital risks such as cyber‑security and building resilient systems.
- Digital Finance and Human Resources Unit
  - Provides IT solutions and application support for Core Finance, Travel, Human Resource, Payroll, Pension, Budget Planning and Capacity Development functional areas.
  - Engages in advisory, implementation, integration, and business process transformation to drive operational efficiency and productivity.
- Digital Lending and Corporate Unit
  - IT partner for core corporate business capabilities: Lending, Member Financial Services, Language Services, Facilities, Physical Security, Transportation, and the Corporate Datawarehouse.
  - Provides end‑to‑end accountability and develops roadmaps and workplans to deliver secure and optimized solutions.
- Enterprise Architecture & Automation Division
  - Optimizes technology systems through enterprise architecture, automation, integrations, and experience design.
  - Creates comprehensive views of IT infrastructure, streamlines manual processes, connects systems, and designs user interfaces aligned with organizational goals.
- Project Management Office (PMO)
  - Oversees and facilitates IT capital portfolio, program and project delivery to support IMF strategic goals.
  - Operationalizes governance processes, facilitates executive decision making, and provides current project and portfolio data.
- Infrastructure & Operations (IO) Division
  - Manages on‑premises and cloud infrastructure supporting the Fund’s IT systems.
  - Provides devices (laptops, iPhones, iPads) and help desk services, manages common application and collaboration portfolio (Office365, Webex, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
  - Responsible for engineering and operations of the hybrid security platform technology stack including identity and access management, network and endpoint security platforms.
- Information Security Group (ITDSG division)
  - Manages IMF information security strategy and program in support of IMF’s Global Policy Agenda.
  - Acts as the second line of defense: establishes policies and standards, assesses and manages information security risks within risk tolerances, delivers cyber security training and awareness, application security testing, continuous monitoring of cyber threats, and incident response.
- Strategic Resource Management Division
  - Responsible for integrated financial management of all IT resources including capital, admin., cloud capital equivalent, assets and capacity.
  - Focuses on benefits realization, accountability, and software asset management (SAM) compliance to reduce legal, financial, and reputational risk exposure.
