      "content": "- Provides training on the methodology for compiling and disseminating CBPS, including:\n  - the integrated IIP and memorandum and supplementary position data items following the Integrated Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual, seventh edition (BPM7);\n  - EDS, including currency composition, remaining maturity, and debt service schedule;\n  - the CPIS, including sectoral data; and\n  - the CDIS.\n- Course format: a series of lectures, discussions, and practical exercises.\n  - Lectures and discussions focus on general concepts and compilation practices.\n  - Exercises provide participants the opportunity to apply knowledge and discuss problems encountered in their compilation work.\n- Analytical focus: gains insights into the analytical uses of the external accounts and illustrates integration of cross-border positions data into the broader macroeconomic framework.\n- Course base materials: BPM7, the 2013 External Debt Statistics: Guide for Compilers and Users, the 2017 CPIS Guide, and the 2015 CDIS Guide."

      "content": "- Target Audience:\n  - Officials whose main responsibility is compiling the integrated international investment position (IIP) and/or external debt statistics (EDS), as well as Coordinated Portfolio Investment Survey (CPIS) or Coordinated Direct Investment Survey (CDIS) data.\n- Qualifications:\n  - Participants are expected to have a degree in economics or statistics, and have a minimum of one year of experience in compiling IIP and/or EDS."

      "content": "- Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:\n  - Compile IIP, EDS, CPIS, and/or CDIS¿¿as well as the memorandum and supplementary items of the IIP and tables on external debt statistics¿¿according to the conceptual framework.\n  - Identify potential new data sources for the compilation of the CBPS.\n  - Apply compilation techniques and best dissemination practices related to CBPS.\n  - Illustrate the relationship between the integrated IIP and the balance of payments, and the integration of cross-border positions data into the broader macroeconomic framework.\n  - Describe the analytical use of CBPS."
