### Qualifications and prerequisites

- It is recommended that applicants first complete the online Macroeconomics of Climate Change (MCCx) course.

### Course description
- The course provides macroeconomic Excel-based frameworks, tools and models for integrating climate considerations in policy formulation.
- It addresses how to reflect climate-related economic risks and vulnerabilities within macroeconomic frameworks.
- Presented by the Institute for Capacity Development.

### Course objectives
Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:
- Understand the costs of climate change.
- Work with climate and economic data to help analyze the macroeconomic impact of climate shocks.
- Get informed about frameworks that assess macroeconomic impacts of climate policies.
- Be acquainted with the Fund's work on climate issues and the support it provides to member countries.
