### Target Audience and Qualifications
- Target Audience:
  - Mid - to senior level officers from the Ministry of Finance, including from the Treasury, Budget, and ICT departments.
- Qualifications:
  - No formal qualification is required.
  - Expected experience or exposure to one of the following areas: fiscal reports, financial statements, budgets, fiscal forecasts, and FMIS.

### Course Description
- Digitization of public financial management (PFM) processes has seen accelerated progress in the past year aiming to ensure efficiency in operation during times of crisis.
- Digitization has supported administration of safety nets, improved delivery of services and more effective cash and debt management.
- The task of digitalizing PFM remains unfinished.
- The seminar will inform participants of the potential for future advancements by leveraging existing and emerging technologies to:
  - improve efficiency;
  - promote accountability and transparency in budget management; and
  - improve delivery of essential services.
- The seminar will explore how a digital PFM system can interact with other systems to facilitate good governance.

### Course Objectives
Upon completion of this seminar/workshop, participants should be able to:
- Appreciate the importance of developing an appropriate framework for financial management information systems (FMIS) development.
- Recognize the linkages between FMIS development and PFM reform.
- Appreciate the role of emerging technologies in PFM.
- Identify cybersecurity challenges.
- Connect and share experiences with peers and benefit from this shared learning.
