Yahia Khairi Said, Resident Representative: Yahia Said is currently serving as the Resident Representative for Jordan, previously he worked as a Senior Economist at the IMF Strategy Policy and Review department, specializing on issue of sovereign debt and the external sector. Over ten years of Fund service Mr. Said worked on a number of countries in the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia in program and surveillance contexts. Prior to joining the Fund Yahia worked at the World Bank, the London School of Economics and Ernst and Young.
Rayah Al-Farah, Economist: Rayah Al-Farah is an Economist at the Resident Representative Office of the IMF in Jordan. Prior to joining the team in Amman, she worked in the Middle East and Central Asia department of the IMF in Washington DC, covering the Caucasus and Turkmenistan. She has co-authored multiple IMF papers and has worked on a variety of research projects on inclusive growth, financial inclusion, social spending, private sector development, and macroprudential policies. Rayah holds a B.A. in Economics from Wellesley College, and a Master’s in Global Human Development from Georgetown University.
Leen Aghabi, Economist: Leen Aghabi is an Economist at the Resident Representative Office of the IMF in Jordan. Prior, she worked at the World Bank Group (WBG) where her portfolio of advisory projects focused on providing private sector solutions that lay the foundation for sustainable economic growth in the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa. Before joining the WBG, Leen served at the Royal Hashemite Court. She was also a Research Fellow at the West Asia-North Africa (WANA) Institute. Leen holds a Master’s in International Relations, with Merit, from the London School of Economics.
Sana Almunizel, Senior Admin. Assistant: Sana Al-Munizel has been working at the Fund since 2020. Before joining the Jordan Resident Representative Office, she was working at the Resident Representative Office for Iraq and Yemen. Prior to joining the Fund, Sana was a Security Intern with the United Nations Department for Safety and Security where she was in charge of the daily/weekly security reports to UNSMS in Jordan. Sana holds a Higher Diploma in Conflict Resolutions, a Master’s in Diplomatic Studies and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. In Political Science and Governmental Studies at the University of Jordan.
