      "content": "- The IMF Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific hosted a country-based regional seminar on India’s economic outlook and long-term policy priorities.\n- Topic overview:\n  - India was among the fastest-growing economies in the world in the decade before the pandemic, lifting millions out of poverty.\n  - COVID-19 severely impacted India: the first and second waves in 2020-21 caused a severe health crisis and led to deep social and economic harm.\n  - Following a strong and broad policy response and the control of the pandemic, the economic recovery is underway.\n  - The outlook remains clouded due to the uncertainty associated with the pandemic.\n- Participation:\n  - Nearly 90 people from across Asia participated in the virtual seminar."
