### Overview of IMF participation
- IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva visited Japan twice in May 2023.
- Visits: May 11-13 2023 in Niigata, May 19-21 2023 in Hiroshima.
- Purpose: renewed the Fund’s commitment to uphold the rule-based multilateral system and jointly tackle a range of global economic challenges to achieve sustainable and inclusive global growth.
