### Public Notices and Operational Alerts
- Fraud alert:
  - Several variants of financial scam letters purporting to be sanctioned by the IMF or authored by high ranking IMF officials are currently in circulation.
  - Scam letters may appear on official letterhead containing the IMF logo and instruct recipients to contact the IMF for issuance of a “Certificate of International Capital Transfer” or other approvals to enable receipt of large sums of monies.
  - Contact e-mail information in these scam letters is always BOGUS; recipients are requested to send personal banking details which scammers then utilize for fraudulent activities.
  - For more information, consult the IMF notice on Fraudulent Scam Emails Using the Name of the IMF.
