- Ms. Kristalina Georgieva, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), held a telephone conversation with Volodymyr Zelenskyi, President of Ukraine.
- Ms. Georgieva described the call as "very constructive."

### Assessment and IMF support
- Commendation for "impressive progress" by the President and his government in advancing reforms and continuing with sound economic policies.
- IMF readiness to support the authorities’ policy agenda to:
  - maintain macro-economic stability
  - lift the economy to a path of higher, sustainable, and inclusive growth
  - include support with a new IMF-supported program

### Agreed program terms and conditions
- IMF staff reached agreement with the authorities on the policies to underpin a new 3-year, SDR 4 billion (about US$ 5.5 billion) arrangement under the Extended Fund Facility.
- The agreement is subject to:
  - IMF management approval
  - approval by the Executive Board
- Effectiveness of the arrangement will be conditional on the implementation of a set of prior actions.

### Priority reforms and policy recommendations
- Strengthen the rule of law.
- Enhance the integrity of the judiciary.
- Reduce the role of vested interests in the economy.
- Safeguard gains made in cleaning up the banking system.
- Recover the large costs to the taxpayers from bank resolutions.
