      "content": "- The WEO database is created during the biannual World Economic Outlook (WEO) exercise.\n- Selected macroeconomic data series from the statistical appendix of the World Economic Outlook report are available.\n- The WEO presents IMF staff's analysis and projections of economic developments at the global level, in major country groups, and in many individual countries.\n- The WEO is released in April and September/October each year."

      "content": "- Use the database to find data on:\n  - national accounts,\n  - inflation,\n  - unemployment rates,\n  - balance of payments,\n  - fiscal indicators,\n  - trade for countries and country groups (aggregates),\n  - commodity prices whose data are reported by the IMF.\n- Data availability:\n  - Data are available from 1980 to the present.\n  - Projections are given for the next two years.\n  - Additionally, medium-term projections are available for selected indicators.\n  - For some countries, data are incomplete or unavailable for certain years."

      "content": "- Country weights, calculated as nominal GDP at purchasing-power-parity exchange rates in percent of the global GDP, have been updated to reflect revisions to nominal GDP.\n- On January 1, 2009, Slovak Republic became the sixteenth country to join the euro area.\n- Czech Republic and Slovak Republic are now included in the advanced economies group.\n- Data for Iraq are now included.\n- Guatemala, Israel, Korea, and Slovak Republic now report chain-weighted national accounts data.\n- On January 1, 2009, the Central Bank of Turkmenistan redenominated its currency by transforming 5,000 units of old manats into one unit of new manat."
