Michal Andrle

Michal Andrle is a Deputy Division Chief and Mission Chief in the IMF's General Macro and Fiscal Division.

From 2020 to 2022, Michal was a senior desk in the Canada Team and in the Honduras Team, participating on the IMF's program negotiations with the Honduran authorities.

From 2010 to 2020 Michal served as an economist and senior economist at the IMF's Research Department. In 2020, he led the IMF's internal forecast of the world economy, the first "remote" forecast, creating a set of new tools to deal with the analysis of the pandemic.

Before joining the IMF, Michal was a member of the New Area-Wide Model team at the ECB and of the modeling team at the Czech National Bank (CNB). At the Czech National Bank, Michal was leading the development of the new projection model (g3), that has been used by the Czech National Bank since 2008.
