Kenichi Ueda is a Senior Economist in the Research Department. His research focus is interlinkage between financial system and macroeconomy. His publications appeared in Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Theory, and International Economic Review among others. He obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago before joining the Fund in 2000. Prior to the Ph.D. study, he also worked for the Ministry of Finance, Japan, after B.A. in economics from the University of Tokyo. In 2011-2012, for a half year, he was a visting fellow at the Economics Department of MIT.
