The IMF hires well-qualified Human Resources (HR) professionals with the experience to make an important contribution in a number of key areas supporting the work of the Fund.
In the Human Resources Department, HR professionals provide expertise in the areas of compensation and benefits, human resources shared services, human resources information systems, recruitment and staffing, and staff development and organizational effectiveness. Their work includes developing and implementing HR policies/programs and initiatives; managing the delivery of HR programs/processes; liaising and consulting with departments and external consultants on HR policy issues; and analyzing and monitoring key HR metrics and statistics.
HR professionals are also hired by individual departments to advise them on their HR management and assist them in reaching their business objectives.
Successful candidates will typically possess an advanced university degree in Human Resources or a related field plus relevant professional HR experience. In addition, we look for candidates with demonstrated competence in the areas of HR proficiency; versatility and innovation; work management; technological/data management; policy analysis and development; written, oral and interpersonal communications; and relationship building. We also look for candidates who have experience working in international, multicultural environments and who demonstrate business acumen and a focus on client service.
