Turkiye: 2024 Article IV Mission Press Release

Washington, DC – August 28, 2024: An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission, led by Mr. James P. Walsh, visited Türkiye during May 29 – June 11, 2024, to conduct the 2024 Article IV consultations. After virtual follow-up discussions during August 19 – 20, 2024, Mr. Walsh issued the following statement:

IMF Executive Board Approves New Two-Year Flexible Credit Line Arrangement with Chile

The IMF approved today, a successor two-year arrangement for Chile under the Flexible Credit Line (FCL), for an amount of about US$13.8 billion (equivalent to 600 percent of quota).

Liberia: IMF Reaches Staff-Level Agreement on a New 40-Month Extended Credit Facility Arrangement

International Monetary Fund staff and the Liberian authorities reached a staff-level agreement on a comprehensive set of policy priorities to support a new 40-month Extended Credit Facility (ECF) arrangement. The SDR 155 million arrangement is subject to approval by the IMF Executive Board. The board discussion is scheduled for September 25.
