Purva Khera is an economist in the IMF’s Monetary and Capital Markets Department. She has worked on the IMF Financial Sector Assessment of China, Brazil and Italy. Previously, she was in the IMF’s Asia and Pacific Department, working on India and Bhutan. Her research interests and publications have mainly focused on labor markets, informality, macro-financial linkages, financial inclusion, gender economics, and DSGE models. She holds a Ph.D. and MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge, and a B.A. in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi.
