Sriram Balasubramanian, an Indian national, is a consultant Economist based at the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Washington DC. Prior to joining the IFC, he worked at the World Bank and other multinational organizations in the private sector. Mr. Balasubramanian has made important contributions to international publications on macro-economic policy, growth dynamics and emerging socio-political trends. His key areas of interest include new growth models, financial inclusion, international macroeconomics and economic history among others. He is also an author and an alumnus of Columbia University.
