Daria Zakharova heads the Poland-Baltics Unit in the IMF’s European Department, and is Mission Chief for Poland. She previously led missions to Slovenia, Iceland, and Slovakia. Her research interests span a broad range of issues, including economic growth, fiscal and monetary policy and institutions, and capital flow management. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Minnesota. Prior to joining the IMF in 2000, she worked as an associate analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
