David Marston is currently Head of the IMF’s Risk Management Unit. Prior to this, he served as Deputy Director of the Strategy, Policy, and Review Department, where he led the IMF’s policy work on financial surveillance, including on issues of financial interconnectedness, financial deepening, and the integration of macrofinancial issues in surveillance. He also reviewed country work on advanced, emerging, and low-income countries. Mr. Marston has also worked in the IMF’s Monetary and Capital Markets Department, leading work on financial oversight.
