Maria Gonzalez-Miranda is the Deputy Division Chief of the Central America Division of the IMF’s Western Hemisphere Department (WHD). In the IMF, she previously held a number of positions in both WHD and the Fiscal Affairs Department, participating in the design and monitoring of programs for countries in Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Africa, as well as in the Regional Studies Division in WHD. She has published research on fiscal, debt, and financial sector issues.
