Yasser Abdih is a senior economist working on the U.S. desk in the IMF’s Western Hemisphere Department. Previously, he was in the IMF's Middle East and Central Asia Department, covering Jordan and regional policy issues, as well as in the IMF Institute conducting training and research. Mr. Abdih came to the IMF from academia. His research has covered a wide range of topics including economic growth, remittances, inflation modeling and forecasting, labor market issues, and exchange rate and monetary policies.
