Kenji Moriyama is currently a Deputy Division Chief in the Fiscal Affairs Department (FAD) of the IMF. Joining the IMF in 2004, he also worked in Finance Department, Middle East and Central Asia Department as well as Strategy, Policy, and Review Department (SPR). In SPR, he co-led work on assessing international reserve adequacy and collaboration between regional financing arrangements and the IMF. In FAD, he led work on fiscal monitoring of the countries that have participated in the G20’s Debt Service Suspension Initiative.
Mr. Moriyama received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Tokyo and his Doctor of Philosophy in Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
