Neil Meads is a Senior Economist in the IMF’s Strategy Policy and Review Department, working as Special Assistant to the Director and on the IMF’s team for Romania. Previously, he worked on strategic issues for the international monetary system, including SDRs, and has supported IMF work on Rwanda. Neil began his career at the Bank of England working on monetary policy. His previous research has focused on housing, consumption and monetary policy decision making. He holds an M.Sc. in Economics from the University of York.
